For Earth Day at school Jack’s teacher brought all the students a tiny little tree so they could go home and plant it. Andy took Jack out to the back yard and helped him pick out a really nice place where the tree would have a good home and helped him plant it. (It was also in an area that if it died, Jack wouldn’t be able to see it and most likely forget about it.)
Much to our surprise and delight, the little tree made it! He has new growth on him and has survived the winter weather that immediately followed its planting. So here is Jack’s tree and hopefully in twelve more years when he graduates it will be as tall as he is.
